Thank you for finally illuminating the vast and expansive free venues in Los Angeles (and beyond!). I have been to so many places in this book, and yet I have never heard of quite a few! The Nethercutt Museum is amazing, as well as Orcutt Ranch, and Los Encinos are definitely well worth visiting. Orcutt Ranch is a child's hide and seek dream come true and the perfect place for a picnic or a quick lesson in how a sun dial works! Placerita Canyon is also an amazing discovery and they have several animals in cages for everyone to enjoy (an owl, hawk, several kinds of rattle snakes). I am excited to explore some of the places I've never heard of. Gardens of the World sounds amazing, my kids will love it! Wonderful book, very well laid out!Product details

There are so many awesome places to visit in L.A., and it doesn't have to be expensive! In my opinion, kids need to get out of the house, put away their electronics, and have the kind of experiences WE were lucky enough to have growing up. This book lists every possible FREE experience one can have here. I think we are lucky to live in a place with so much opportunity, that's why I highly recommend every family get this book. It will benefit YOU, your KIDS, and even your out of town RELATIVES looking for fun stuff to do. -)
